The duo Mantras con Amor is composed of Demetrios from Flagstaff, Arizona and Vichitra from San Sebastian (Spain). Demetrios is constantly creating, not only in their music but also by expressing himself through painting and calligraphy. The CD artwork of their debut album “Love is” was created by him, along with many other designs.

Vichitra puts her voice at the service of “something greater” than herself. In this way the melodies are offerings to the Divine. The two met each other in 2011, but it wasn’t until 2013 that they started to explore the space that they create while singing together.

THE PROJECT

MANTRAS CON AMOR

Mantras help us to connect with the divine qualities of our Being. When we repeat a mantra for a certain time our bodies are impregnated with its healing vibration.

Starting from the mantras as a base, our goal is to create a space of openness of heart, simply to be, to express ourselves singing and to connect and feel that there really is no difference between one and another, that we are One.

The “Mantras con Amor” project was born on the island of Corfu in Greece in 2013 and since 2014 we travel to where we are called to sing mantras. We have created our own melodies from familiar sounds combined with mantras from Buddhist, Hindu, Sufi, etc. traditions.

OUR MUSIC

The first album of “Mantras con Amor” went on sale in January 2016 after an intense process of creation and transformation in and out. They are “modern” (western, “western”) songs with “oriental” content in the combination of mantras and “sounds of the world”.

INSPIRATION

Our true inspiration and motivation lies in our spiritual master, Sri Swami Vishwananda, our beloved “Guruji,” who really makes everything possible. His words were the real push for creativity to begin flowing.

Thus, we offer our songs and prayers to the Divinity. It is She who expresses herself through us.

She who created this project. And so we ask that he guide us and take us of his hand where we have to go to spread our mantras.

So be it and so it is. Thank you thank you thank you.
